Visual Literacy Essay Example for Free
Visual Literacy Essay 1. Albeit Howling Wolfââ¬â¢s drawing is viewed as gullibly executed by the principles of Western craftsmanship, for what reason do we presume that his record of the arrangement marking occasion is more fair than the outline rendered by the other craftsman? * In Howling Wolf drawing he incorporated the ââ¬Å"Medicine Lodge Creek.â⬠His drawing had Native American ladies with their backs got some distance from the individuals while they watched the marking. This to me was attracted to make the ladies look as though they had assumed a significant job in the marking. He remembered a red segment of paint for their hair to show they were hitched ladies. Craftsman John Taylor did exclude ââ¬Å"Medicine Lodge Creekâ⬠in his drawing. Taylorââ¬â¢s drawing just included one woman by the name of Mrs. Margaret Adams. She should be the mediator for the Arapaho. I believe that Taylorââ¬â¢s drawing is deceptive in light of the fact that he didn't accurately draw Wolfââ¬â¢s drawing. Wolfââ¬â¢s drawing is increasingly legit in light of the fact that he drew full edge ladies and drew verification of the marking. I imagine that Taylorââ¬â¢s drawing was predisposition towards the dark ladies. He did exclude the Native ladies since he would not like to show that they assumed a major job in the arrangement marking. 2. For what reason did the White craftsman overlook the numerous local ladies who were available at the arrangement marking? Do you think this oversight was purposeful or inadvertent because of social inclination? * He may have thought they werenââ¬â¢t as significant as Mrs. Margaret Adams. Since she was the girl of a French Canadian trapper she indicated more significance in his drawing. I think he disregarded them in his attracting to be predisposition since they were Native Americans. He could see that in Wolfââ¬â¢s drawing they assumed a significant job seeing the bargain marking. Taylor in my adversary didnââ¬â¢t need them to be of any significance in his drawing. By depicting just a single lady he was attempting to change the first picture. He caused his attracting to incorporate the individuals he felt was of significance to the bargain marking. I think he forgot about them since he didnââ¬â¢t need the Native American to feel as though they were any more significant than Mrs. Margaret Adams. Another explanation I feel he forgot about them is on the grounds that they may have had a lot in what the settlement said and he would not like to depict that in his drawing.
